Happy Marti Gras (shout out to the hand grenade crew of 2002)

ooh..i thought groundhog day had past. Well..can't say i've been living in a hole but definately very busy. So to recap on that previous list.

- Finished 5 people you meet in Heaven and also Batman HUSH. Now looking for any other cool graphic novel stories.
- Got the girl scout cookies.
- Car is working ok now
- Some touch up remodeling this weekend
- Successful PJ party for Garland and Karen this past weekend (pics in future post)

- As for this post, the major bathroom reconstruction that took over my life for about 6 days.

We start off with what was formerly known as the "pink bathroom"

The house, built in 1951, the bathroom was made with custom styled components and its galvanized steel piping made it very difficult to simply change the faucets and such. We delt with it enough the past year of ownership, but a leaky shower faucet finally took the cake. It had to get a makeover. So..thanks to my friend's referral, the rennovation began.
It was 7am mornings for a good 6 days (off on Sun) and in that time i learned i can do soooo much (if i actually wake up in the morning). One day i actually got woken out of bed, headed to Lowe's, Home Depot, bought a bathtub, cabinets, drywall, piping components, a bag of oranges and even Jack in the box before 10am.
By the end of the middle of the first day, the whole bathroom had already been torn out.

To summarize what was done, we moved the door over, installed a whirlpool tub, retiled the floor and tiled around the shower to the ceiling. New toliet that my contractor gave me and my special request of a vessel sink was installed.

The event was not complete until we saw the end of the pink toliet.

Some minor work still to do...like install a mirror, towel bars, etc, but for the most part its done.
