Cheesy thursday update (post dated) and Interesting relationship chat

I'd add more..cuz it was a good day. Karen came back, Rico came over for his computer, and the window guy finally called.

So..instead...i leave you with this insight into my psyche and views on realtionships a little bit on religion. I write...just seems more in chat windows. Figured..hey..i'll just post it here (i got permission so it was ok).


panda: pah! i made a pact to myself to never speak to eric (my first love) again. i will leave to the mists of the future from now on.
ray: my married ex hasn't called me back yet from her bday greetings..and my current ex is on the cold side of her hot and cold trends

ray: 3.5 year relationship
ray: = 7+ years before i moved on
panda: uuh... i was with this guy on and off for 16 years.
panda: 1/2 my life!
ray: geezus..16 years

panda: of course, we had times when we didnt' see each other for a couple of years at a time
panda: so let's say, it's gonna take me another 10 years to get over him collectively.
panda: uuuggghhh.
ray: not necessarily
ray: i think u can get over it....by .....sun
ray: just think of it this way
ray: solved a lot of my issues

ray: i look at it ....like national geographic
ray: we're just like any other animal on the planet

ray: there are things we need
ray: things we desire
ray: we add an emotional component to things

ray: but in realiity..its all our own doing
ray: like don't get me wrong
panda: all in our head, really
ray: my relationship with karen
ray: is simply that...just honest
ray: u can' expect people to be loyal
ray: monogamy is not necessarlily natural
panda: no kidding. especially this guy.
ray: religion creates a "standard" of which we are to live
ray: but in reality..its still a human standard
ray: i don't go to church
ray: but i believe in the morality..and example it gives us
ray: its an example..
ray: not applicable in all occasions
ray: but still a good one
ray: in the case of relationships
panda: i agree.. religion doesn't always dictate behavior
ray: just like the animals..
panda: *sigh*
ray: its a part of our lifestyle to want to be close to someone
ray: at times that someone changes
panda: i'd like to think i'm better than a panda bear but yeah.
ray: namely because we also change
ray: here.ray: when i broke up with my ex
ray: my first love
ray: and a true love at that
ray: i still love her..and i am not afraid to admit it
ray: even if she's married
panda: awww.
ray: but this is what happend to me
ray: i wasn't sure..and questioned
ray: when i realized it wasn't going to happen anymore..i sought the counselling of our guidance couselor
ray: who was like a mother to both of us
ray: she told me
ray: "there is only one person in this world for you"
ray: which in turne made me cry like a baby
ray: since i thought i had lost the "one"

ray: but then..as she was holding me...she said
ray: but the thing is..you're always changing
ray: and therefore that person also changes
panda: awww
ray: the key to a relationship is not love or flowers or anythign like that
ray: the key to a relationship is being able to grow together
panda: oh yeah! that's so true.
ray: (sexual, romantic, friendship, whatever)
ray: u and this guy..it didnt' work out then
ray: cuz u didnt' have the same paths
ray: ur reminicing on something that u think was there
ray: just dont' want to see that it isn't
panda: i want my pity party
ray: i learned that after seeing my ex a couple times after
ray: thats when i knew i grew past it
ray: now..i still mellowed..and moaned..and whined..
panda: well, i'm sure when i see him next, i'll know that i outgrew it
ray: but we move on..
